Playa Negra, Cabo Velas, Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
This agricultural land is located in Playa Negra, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, in Santa Cruz county. This countryside and near the coast property with ocean view is situated in the tropical dry forest of Costa Rica. The land area of this agricultural land is a total of 0.81 hectare (2.00 acre).
Finca Pura Jungla is a development with a great story to tell. The finca was bought thirty years ago when it was nothing but pastureland for cows and the owner put a real eco plan in action: -He planted over 80,000 trees and built a forest. -He built a rain water catchment basin that now houses many aquatic birds and returns water to earth. -He kept a majority of the finca as a private reserve for local wildlife, nearly 70 acres of the 250. -All this hard work helped recharge the aquifers underground. -In this first phase of the project electricity cables are underground to protect fauna. The project is, essentially, a north and south ridge separated by a valley. The valley is a green zone. At the end of the valley there is an area for communal use for livestock or food production. To give homeowners the feeling that they are truly alone in the jungle but with a neighbor to obtain eggs from just a hop, skip, and a jump away, the owner only placed home sites on the summits of those two distinct ridges within the finca. There are only about 30 housing sites in this section of the jungle ensuring tranquility on the mountaintop. Naturally, there is electricity, telephone, internet, and clean, delicious local public water. This specific lot enjoys ocean views to the west and southwest. There are multiple natural places to build your dream home. We love this one in particular because on each side of the lot is a small valley that gives the lot complete separation from all others. The west side of the lot is part of the 70 acre green zone and so is the south/bottom of the lot. The development is one kilometer to the paved road in Paraiso, and about ten minutes to the beaches of Junquillal, Playa Negra, and Avellanas among others. The owner says it best – “Why be close to one beach when you can be close to them all?”. There are at least 20 quality restaurants in the area along with an enormous skatepark, great surfing waves, places to snorkel, incredible beach fishing, canopy tour, tons of opportunities for volunteering, among a plethora of other things to do.
