I would get into trouble if I were to call this a "private beach" property. These are virtually non-existent in Costa Rica. All beaches, with very few exceptions, are public in Costa Rica. Having said that, this property offers as near to a "private beach" as a property can have. There are 28 hectares of beautiful jungle here. You are on the Osa Peninsula, which is considered by National Geographic as the "most bio-diverse area on planet earth". So nature abounds. The trees are diverse and gorgeous. The seller informs me that this is mostly virgin jungle. Drive into the property off the primary access road which is paved and well maintained. You enter into the property driving along.

The seller informs me that this is mostly virgin jungle. Drive into the property off the primary access road which is paved and well maintained. You enter into the property driving along It is very private in that the only access is through this gorgeous property. And this is private property which, just like anywhere else in the world, no one can cross your property without your permission. The beach is defined by 2 points that jut into the ocean. However, the property continues past the point to your left as you're looking at the ocean. The beach in the photos and video is roughly half of the beach frontage. In any case, land access other than through this property, to the beach, is extremely difficult, if not impossible. It is essentially boat access only. It is as close to owning an island as you can get without actually owning an island. The property currently serves as the home for the buyers. They have been living there for years and are selling due to age and wanting to be closer to family up in the Limon province. Clearly, the property serves beautifully as a permanent residence. However, due to its amenities, and the growing recognition of our need for nature, it would make for a stellar rental property as well. Further out on the Osa Peninsula there is the Corcovado National Park, as well as some world-famous surf spots. The bedrooms are all in one building, and the living room, dining room, bar and office are in another. The 2 buildings are connected by a broad, palm thatched, open-air walkway. This is done in an "L" configuration with the pool just outside the joint of the L. Outside by the pool is a bar-b-que and refrigerator for food preparation. Excellent for entertaining guests - lot's of them. In the crotch of the L is the drive-around entry with a large tree in the middle. The entry drive continues on into the jungle, passing by the living abodes. Once into the jungle, you are now into the stuff that this world lacks - gorgeous primal nature. Venture further in and you arrive at a small, flat, building area that is currently being used as a storage for wood. The seller has a profound respect for the jungle and so he does not cut trees. When one falls in the jungle, he gets the permit to mill the wood from the fallen tree. Consequently, there are stashes in various areas of the property of fine and exotic woods. Continue further into the property and you arrive at a very large, tractored building area. This is just above the stairs, complete with hand-rail, that drop down to the beach. As you walk down to the beach, you'll hear the sound of babbling water that is from one of the three springs that there are on the property. As you arrive at the beach, you have a convergence of the 3 springs. These cascade into a small, sweet water pool where you can rinse off after getting out of the ocean, just a few meters away. It should be mentioned that the actual size of this property is 28 hectares. The lower number seen in the data points of this listing is due to the titled property being that size. The sellers are the possession holders of the rights on the maritime zone to the beach which fleshes the actual property size to 28 hectares. This is a dream property and must be seen to be appreciated.
